Back injuries can be prevented sometimes by using a hand truck. There's no hard and fast rule on when to use hand trucks, but when a load is too heavy or cumbersome to lift manually -try a hand truck. Hydraulic scissors lifts provide the most economical, dependable, and versatile method of lifting heavy loads. Hydraulic lifts have few moving parts, are well lubricated, and provide many years of trouble free operation. Scissor lift tables raise the loads smoothly to any desired height, and can be easily configured to meet the specific speed, capacity, and foot print requirement of any hydraulic lifting application. Before purchasing a hydraulic scissor lift - make sure that it is designed and manufactured to meet the industry safety requirements set forth in ANSI MH29.1, and is efficient in material handling applications. Four-wheeled hand trucks are similar to the two-wheeled hand trucks. However, you must pay extra attention to loading procedures. Four-wheeled hand trucks can be easily tipped, so ensure that your load is balanced and secure. They should generally be pushed forward instead of pulled, except for those trucks equipped with a fifth wheel and a pulling handle. Labels: Material Lifting Injury Avoidance |
