Bloggers Unite for Human Rights - March of Dimes- CLICK HERE!

Bloggers Unite is an initiative designed to harness the power of the blogosphere to make the world a better place.

By challenging bloggers to blog about a particular social cause on a single day (May 15th), a single voice can be joined with thousands of others to help make a real positive difference; from raising awareness for cancer, to our goal of disseminating information to improve the rate of healthy births in the US, to an effort to better education systems or support 3rd world countries.

As mentioned above, we have chosen to blog about the The March of Dimes and try to disseminate information about the March of Dimes mission which "is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality."

Things to avoid during pregnancy:

Alcohol
Smoking
Marijuana
Certain Drugs, Herbs and Dietary Supplements
Street drugs, over-the-counter drugs, prescription drugs, dietary
supplements, herbal preparations, and some medications can hurt your baby.
Some can cause birth defects. Others can cause your baby to be born too
small or very sick.
Ecstasy and Methamphetamine
Hazardous Substances Mercury
Stress
Avoid Rodents
