Last November, StopBadware.org released an Alert about a product that is bundled in the Early Detection Software: CyberDefender ‘Early Detection Center’ application is badware because it fails to disclose the principal and significant features of the bundled ‘MyIdentityDefender’ Internet Explorer toolbar, which monitors users’ web browsing behavior and transmits users’ URL history to CyberDefender. .... Once installed, CyberDefender Early Detection Center may exaggerate the threat of harm from certain kinds of ‘spyware infections’ in order to induce users to purchase a license for the software. CyberDefender seems to have corrected the error and discloses this upon installation. MyIdentityDefender is a security toolbar which works with Microsoft internet Explorer and protects against identity theft. MyIdentityDefender is free and does not require you to purchase an identity theft software package. ------------------ Every Personal Computer on the CyberDefender network is constantly on the lookout for suspicious files and problems. Each PC reports them to the Early Alert Center which then quickly analyzes and provides the latest virus threat definitions update to the entire Early Detection network. An Internet security suite, CyberDefender Early Detection Center easy-to-use features include earlySPY, a spyware removal tool that removes known AND unknown spyware and malicious adware that can hijack your Personal Computer and steal personal information. This is an excellent software pick - CLICK HERE for coupons and more information on CyberDefender Suite of products

Easter is primarily a celebration of the Resurrection - but there is a history to the holiday. Back before our time, people used to celebrate when Spring arrived. Many of us still look at Easter as the "true" beginning of Spring. A time to start our gardens. Abbey Press has a great selection of Easter and Inspiration gifts that you can send anywhere in the US. People used to believe that changes in seasons were guided by spirits or gods. The blooming of plants and flowers and the critters and animals coming out of hibernation brought back life. In addition the return of birds brought life , hope and beauty back to the area. This new life in spring symbolizes the new life Christians believe that they gain because of Jesus's death on the cross on Good Friday and his resurrection or back to life on Easter Sunday. Whatever you believe in, take time to celebrate the beautiful sunshine today and all you have. Take this day to rid your mind of any negative thoughts about what you do not have. Happy Easter... Happy New Beginning... and Happy Spring... Labels: Happy Easter, Holiday Gift Giving, Michigan Gift Ideas Friday, April 10, 2009 A pet owner's view: Tethered Dogs can be Trouble- CLICK HERE!![]() There's a beautiful, gentle dog who spends his entire life, winter and summer, at the end of a chain in his Farmington Hills, Michigan back yard and driveway. He's not dangerous or aggressive. In fact, he loves to play, cuddle, and go for walks – things that this particular dog rarely gets to do. So the dog barks. And barks. And barks. When dogs are bored, lonely and deprived of exercise, they resort to annoying behaviors like barking or destructive behaviors like digging, chewing or biting. Sadly, there are owners around that get rid of their dogs when they develop these habits, blaming the dog when their own neglect is at fault. An adult dog can be as intelligent as a very young child. Imagine keeping a toddler apart from his family? Dogs that live on their dog chains are deprived of love and attention - only being thrown food once in a while, and then watching the door close shut again and again. It's not so much being "chained up" that does the harm, it's the neglect. A lack of companionship, exercise and mental stimulation can lead to all sorts of problems in canines including depression, aggression, and anti-social behavior. Use coupon code: googlerocks at http://www.grpet.com/ to purchase dog tieouts, cables and other supplies and save $5.00 on orders >$75. An owner must realize that a backyard is not a babysitter. Dogs are social animals (pack animals) and more than anything, a dog wants to be with her family. Keeping dogs tethered or chained in backyards can be downright inhumane if they are tethered for long periods. There are safety issues, also. Tieouts can get tangled up, leaving dogs unable to reach food, water and shelter. Every once in a while, we hear of a dog left tied to the deck while his owners go away for an extended period of time. (sometimes you hear they are gone for days!) Dogs can jump over deck railing and hang themselves. And there are frequent reports of tethered dogs that get so frustrated, they attack innocent bystanders. If you must use a tieout occassionally for short periods - try using a tether like Secure Freedom. Secure Freedom was designed to give dogs an adequate amount of room to exercise while eliminating the chance of getting tangled up around a tree or other object, as can sometimes happen with traditional cables. Some dogs really are dangerous and need to be restrained. But the ones who aren't can be kept happy, well-adjusted companions fairly simply: Play with them. Walk them. Or hire someone to exercise them. Make your pet part of your family by involving him/her in your daily activities. FINALLY: if you see a dog being neglected or abused, report it to authorities. A low cost, high quality show is in town and I laughed gallantly last night at the wonderful home-grown performance. Kwame a River is a funny overview of the past decade in Detroit politics, sparked by clever writing and a talented six-person cast. The show is good-natured and depicts Kilpatrick not as evil or stupid, but as a charismatic figure that continually lets his "hubris" get the best of him. It starts out with Kilpatrick (played by Detroit native Connell Brown Jr.), arguing with an attitude-filled Spirit of Detroit: played by Amise (real name Ami McClenon). A great pick for the role. We had front row seats and her acting ability was apparent with her ability to captivate the audience with a sassy attitude. She is just not about to listen to lame excuses as she tries to get admit to his mistakes. It plays on the "Christmas Carol" with the Spirit playing the roles of the "spirits" and everyone in the Kwame cronicles shows up including attorney general Mike Cox, his wife Carlita, and even Coleman back from the dead chanting his "don't get caught" gangster role. Other big names include auto legend Henry Ford, WDIV-TV Local 4 anchorwoman Carmen Harlan and Gov. Jennifer Granholm. Brown, who has appeared on TV's "House of Payne" will soon be seen in several Detroit-shot features. "Kwame a River" was written and directed by Marc Warzecha, a former Second City Detroit member who has since moved to Los Angeles. The show is not an official Second City production, since it is not based on spontaneous comedy but almost entirely scripted. The only spontaneous moment comes during a hugely hilarious part where the audience supplies prompts to fuel steamy text messages between Kilpatrick and his lover, former chief of staff Christine Beatty. This show is a "must-see" in a great locale - Second City Novi. Second City moved from downtown Detroit to a space above a Novi's Andiamo's restaurant in 2005. Visit Michigan News here.
