I never really thought of it this way :)Web conferencing was always about "saving time" to me and the staff over here at The Michigan Business Directory. We calculate ( in our minds ) how much time we save by not driving 45 minutes to a meeting and 45 minutes back. Since we deal with Michigan businesses, seldom is there air travel involved. iLinc has put a new spin .. a green spin on the whole web conferencing concept. iLinc announced a couple of weeks ago that it is providing the industry' s first automatic IP address-based CO2 savings application, built inside its Web conferencing software. We tried it and it is Nifty! Click here to activate a free demo. iLinc's Green Meter uses a mathematical algorithm to detect the locations of the people that are attending a Web conference via IP address and measures the distance between the meeting participants and the meeting leader, calculating the exact amount of travel that is eliminated and measuring the amount of CO2 saved by meeting via Web conference rather than traveling. The program recognizes what means of travel would commonly be used for the distance (such as car, small aircraft, large aircraft, etc.) and keeps a running tab of the CO2 savings and its associated environmental and financial costs. iLinc has successfully acknowledged and brought to the forefront the direct connection between Web conferencing software and environmental sustainability. This new tool - coined the Green Meter was developed to quantify the benefits of meeting online to our earth. A lot of Web sites have basic carbon calculators, but the iLinc Green Meter is a much more advanced application for measuring carbon emission savings. Try SpamFighter - it's FREE for Home useAutomatically send your SPAM to the Deleted folder (or Junk folder) using Outlook The following example can be applied to any type of message you wish, for the purposes of this tutorial I have chosen an "***SPAM***" in the Title of the email. Basically you want to automatically get rid of the SPAM that SpamAssassin or SpamFighter flagged. Here's the workflow: SPAM Email Arrives in your inbox. It's automatically flagged as SPAM. It's automatically moved to the Junk folder or Deleted folder. FIRST .... Inside Outlook - CLICK the following command chain: Tools Menu > Rules and Alerts > New Rule > Click "Start From a Blank Rule" Step One - Select "Check messages when they arrive" Click "Next" Selecting the Conditions of the rule: For the purposes of this we'll assume that the email subject line is "***SPAM***" but you can use To Address, from address etc. To set the move rule up: In the conditions box check "with specific words in the subject" In Step Two, the rule is prebuilt. Click on the blue underlined "specific words" and type in the ***SPAM***. Click Next. Now we tell outlook what to do with the message. In section One Check "Move it to the Specified Folder" click on the blue underlined "Specified" in Section 2 and Select the "Deleted" folder. Click on "OK" In step two, check "Run this rule now on messages already in the Inbox" Make sure "Turn on this rule" is checked Click Finish All messages in the Inbox with the words "***SPAM***" will now have been flagged with the selected flag and moved to the selected folder. Whenever new messages come in with this rule .. they will be moved to the deleted folder!! A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure to visit Grand Rapids for the weekend. Because of my kid's sporting events, our family stays out in the Grand Rapids area about eight times per year. I have always enjoyed our stays, because Grand Rapids is one of the friendliest cities that I know of .. but this particular visit was especially nice.We stayed at the Grand Rapids Hilton on 28th Street (exit 43) Click Here for the best rates on all Hilton Brand hotels in Michigan. The hotel is very close to the airport and conveniently located near a slew of restaurants, a Meijer store and a mall.  For the price that I paid (and I didn't get any special deals) ... Besides being luxurious and comfortable, I was very impressed with the fitness room. For me, the fitness room of a hotel can make or break the visit and determine if I will stay at that hotel again. The Hilton fitness room was a step above the rest. Each of the VERY modern ellipticals and treadmills feature a personal TV. Also, the equipment was new and NOT crappy like the equipment in most hotels. My travels this weekend have brought me back to the west side of Michigan and I am staying at the Sleep Inn of Allendale.  Inversion therapy involves hanging upside down or at an inverted angle to use gravity to naturally decompress the joints of your body. Personally, I do not suffer from back pain, but my husband does. From a medical standpoint he has something wrong with one of the lower discs that is not serious enough for surgery .. but hurts ... alot. Over half of people who invert on a regular basis do so to relieve back pain. Not too many medical professionals or lay people would disagree that inversion therapy at the VERY least, gives you temporary relief from back pain. Inversion therapy (whether on a table or actual full hanging) makes sense to me from a logical standpoint. But I'd have to agree that it only makes sense from a "temporary relief" point of view. But, on the other hand, to discount inversion as simply a back pain remedy would be to ignore a wide range of benefits that can be easily achieved by a passive, or more active, inversion session. A widely publicized potential problem with inversion therapy is that it may increase blood pressure in your head. For this reason, you should not try inversion therapy if you have heart disease, high blood pressure or eye diseases, such as glaucoma, or if you are pregnant. During your normal daily activities, gravity causes fluid to squeeze out of your discs into adjacent soft tissue. With less space between the discs, you lose some height. When you sleep, some – but not all – of the fluid soaks back into the discs. During a typical day, you can lose as much as ¾ inch in height! And because there's only a partial recovery at night, the average person loses ½ inch to 2 inches in height by their senior years. In short, inversion therapy is a method of treating back pain by diminishing the influence of gravity, reducing the compression of the vertebrae and discs and allowing the muscles and ligaments that encase the spine to relax.
