Our staff was out on a much needed vacation last week and personally, I traveled to Florida for the AAU National Volleyball tournament. It was a great week of Volleyball. Everyone is back to Michigan now enjoying an array of fun early summer activities like Graduation parties and such. A Graduation party outside in the evening can be a horror this time of year if you do not spray for mosquitos and bugs. This can be a huge expense if you do not DIY (do it yourself). It is actually a pretty simple task. When we got back on Friday, my husband sprayed our yard for an upcoming get together. Check out the new Motorized Sprayers by Cepia - you will love how easy they are to use. The one pictured to the right is a cost effective 1/2 gallon version. We used the Flying Insect and Mosquito Fog by Mosquito Beater. You can put this product directly into the Cepia sprayer without diluting it. Make sure you get a couple of bottles if you have a big yard. Simple, economical and VERY effective. Since we live along side a small creek, we also used the Mosquito Bits for the water and you would be amazed at how well this works in combination with the fogger. A couple of tips to reduce the risk of West Nile Virus Stay indoors during peak mosquito activity unless you have fogged the area. (This is usually at dawn, dusk, early evening). If you must be outdoors during these periods, protect yourself by using DEET on exposed skin and wear more protective clothing. Wear long pants (instead of shorts) and long sleeves when outdoors.
