... and How many calories in a cucumber?

I am freaking out because my clothes are starting to get tight and fortunately or unfortunately, I am similiar to the majority of 40ish females in the United States, in that my weight is related to my overall mood. When I look good, I feel good and my attitude shows. My weight (in my own mind) is the biggest factor in whether I "look good".

Normally, my weight fluctuates very little. At least for the first 25 years of my adult life. Something drastic changed a couple of years ago .. and I started putting on weight. Last summer, I used the diet "Self-Control and Exercise" to pull off about 25 lbs. (yes .. 25 lbs.). Then, in my quest for self-improvement, I quit smoking this past summer.

And the weight in starting to creep up (rather quickly, actually).

Quick diversion: I wrote this weight loss calculator about five years ago. Boy, is it accurate. Without getting into any details, it actually uses mathematical equations to determine how fast your metabolism is and how fast you can lose (or gain weight) depending on how many calories you intake. It creates a chart that you can print and hangup on your refridgerator for motivation.

Skipping back to the start of this blog entry, I have been freaking out and doing multiple searches on Google per day for things like "How many calories in a cucumber", "Which foods have negative calories" and more. So I thought that I'd look into a few diet plans that are popular:
