After a 16 year Chrysler career, I left Daimler Chrysler in 2000, not because I didn't like it. I loved the automobile company, loved the people and loved my job. I had four small children at home and could no longer keep everything together. When there is news about Chrysler, I read it with a magnifying glass. Chrysler is like an old, kind uncle to me. 12,000 jobs are a lot of jobs. The new "privately held" Chrysler, LLC will be a smaller, leaner and more selective automaker than it was i n the past. Smaller and leaner correlate to more unemployment in Michigan. If you are the entrepreneur type person - the layoff's and buyout's around here can look like golden opportunities.
